County Tug of War Competition - February 2012 |
On Sunday 19th February 2012 we met up at Yardley Chase for the annual County Tug of War Competition. Which due to the cancellation of the cross country had become the counties first sporting event of this year's calendar. Although the weather was cold this did not dull the enthusiasm of the cadets taking part. |
In the boys competition 4 Areas entered a team with a 5th "barbarians" team made up of spare pullers. Pulling was very close but the more experienced areas who had obviously been training held the the day. Boys Result There were only 3 entries in the girls competition but the enthusiasm of the pullers made for a close competition. Girls Result 2012 County Champions: Many thanks to all who made it a great day especially to CSMI Sean Morrow and SMI Bob Pochin for judging.
