Annual Camp is the highlight of our training year and allows the cadets to participate in full, varied and challenging activities that they may not ordinarily do and also to put into practice everything they have learned throughout the year. Camp 2011 will take place at a venue and date to be decided shortly and the cost this year will be £55. This includes all travel, food, accommodation and activities. You may pay by weekly instalments of as little as £1.00 a week but a non-returnable deposit of £10 must be paid before 5th May 2011 and the balance of £45 by 30th June 2011 at the very latest. To qualify for attendance at camp you should have enrolled in the ACF prior to 1st March 2011, but must have passed basic star level and have attended at least one company weekend. Each Company will participate in a skills day, a 2 day exercise, a day on the ranges where they will be given the opportunity to pass their shooting tests, and an adventure training day which includes, amongst other things, canoeing, kayaking, climbing wall, cycling and paintballing. Each Friday we will hold Visitors Day, the Drill Competition and Commandants County parade, followed by the cadets annual disco. A Three Star Cadre will run each week and a Senior Cadet Cadre with advanced field craft taught by Regular Soldiers, will run cross week. May we take this opportunity to remind all parents that the Ministry of Defence will take NO responsibility for cadets personal equipment.
