A Company NewsAnzio Cadets Collect for Poppy AppealCadets from Anzio Detachment met at Riverside Retail park on two damp and chilly Saturday mornings to meet the public and help raise money for the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal. 13 Cadets turned out on each occassion; even some of the newer cadets who have still to be issued their uniforms! It was fantastic to see the public so supportive and there was defintaley no shortage of local people dipping into their pockets, purses and wallets to add to the collection tins. The Cadets found it to be a very rewarding experience and met a wide variety of people.. Some of those had connections with the Armed Forces and commented on how good it was to see Cadets getting out and about in uniform and collecting for such a worthy cause.
