Sqn Cdts Collect for The Soldiers' Charity at Cosby Show
B Squadron Cadets were out in force at the two day “Victory Show” in Cosby.
They event is extremely popular and highlights historical societies & re-enactments during the period of 1939-45. It is well well attended and is an ideal place for us to collect for LOROS (a local hospice), ABF The Soldiers' Charity and Help for Heroes.
We also took the opportunity to take the recruiting trailer.
The cadets, one of whom was dressed in an old Leicester’s uniform, spent both days rattling their tins, selling tickets for the tombola stand and raising the profile of the cadet force whilst also spending some time checking out the stands and displays.
As well as helping to collect thousands of pounds for the three charities, we will hopefully be saying hello to some new cadets at our detachments.
