Morrison’s supermarkets wanted to purchase the land, which houses Hinckley, from the MOD and turn it into a car park. The MOD said this would only be allowed if a new location and building was provided for the Troop. Morrison’s decided that this would not be feasible and Hinckley Troop was given the all clear to stay put and works department have now started to renovate the old building. Councillor David Bill and Mrs Bill visited the detachment to see how the work was progressing. Councillor Bill told the Cadets how pleased he was to be visiting them and how he too was once a cadet and thoroughly enjoyed his cadet life. He also told them that he would be back once the renovations were complete to have a look at there newly renovated detachment. Councillor David Bill is the Chairman
