Company Assists with Poppy Appeal at Walkers Stadium
10 Cadets from C Company, accompanied by SMI Tony Coyston and SI Lucy Moore, attended the Walkers Stadium for the Leicester City V West Bromwich Albion game on Saturday 7th November 2009. They helped to sell poppies before the game and then, holding giant poppies along with the Air and Sea Cadets, they formed a guard of honour as the players came on to the pitch. The ball was delivered by helicopter which landed in the centre circle, before a two minutes silence was observed. During half time the cadets escorted the veterans around the pitch to a standing ovation by the fans.
