Lord Lieutenant's Cadet, Stephanie de Kremer, Meets Her Majesty The Queen
On the 13th June 2013 Her Majesty The Queen visited Burghley House as part of her country-wide tour to celebrate her Diamond Jubilee. This was a classic ‘Picnic in the Park’ style day and thousands of people attended. Burghley Park was laid out in a showground style with the band of the RAF playing between local acts of dance and music.
There were four County Tents, namely Cambridge, Lincolnshire, Rutland and Northamptonshire and Cadet Sergeant Stephanie de Kremer, our Lord Lieutenant's Cadet for Rutland accompanied Dr Laurence Howard who, in turn, accompanied Her Majesty when she visited his County’s Tent.
The CEO was also invited to the Rutland Tent and said, ‘it was a great day and thousands turned out in their finery to catch a glimpse of Her Majesty.
I was very proud to see one of our Cadets accompanying the Lord Lieutenant of Rutland and The Queen – a wonderful day and a very rare opportunity for her."
