County Training Weekend - 5 -7 October 2007

The 2nd County Training Weekend was held at Beckingham Training Camp, in Lincolnshire over the above weekend.

Fifty one of the cadets who attended the weekend took part in a 3 * Expedition/Silver Duke of Edingurgh's Award Expedition practice. Of those, 43 passed their 3 *Expedition phase and also gained approval to attend their Silver Expedition to be held later this month. Four more of the cadets completed their 3 * expedition phase but had chosen not to be part of the DoE award scheme and the remaining four had to drop out for various medical reasons.

The County also held a 2 * classification shoot and 2 * Drill Test; 33 cadets took part in the shoot and gained 4 x marksman, 5 x 1st class shots and 7 passes. Cadets als particpated in "Paintballing"

An Adult First Aid Course was attended by six adullts, all of whom successfully requalified and a further six new adult staff attended the County run Induction Course.

A big thank you to all the Officers, Adult Instructors and Permanent Staff for their hard work in making the weekend so successful.
