On Sunday 7th June 20009 LNR ACF competed in its last Open Competition before the English National Championships,    We entered 3 teams in 2 weight classes, 530kg and 560kg, and also split the teams up so that we mixed boys and girls pulling together.

Primarily, the event was used as a training session, and allowed all the squad to participate; it was also used as a final selection process. 

The first event was the 530kg weight class which included teams from Sandhurst Boys, Bedford Ladies, Army Ladies and 3 Teams from LNR ACF. This was a very good work out for all of our teams, with some very significant performances against teams with 1st Team pullers.  The final standings were as follows:

1st Sandhurst Boys
2nd Bedford Ladies
3rd LNR ACF ‘A’
4th LNR ACF ‘B’
5th Army Ladies
6th LNR ACF ‘C’

The 560kg class was very similar to the first, but unforunately Sandhurst Boys had to withdraw as they were pulling in a different class.  This weight class was another good workout for all of the joint teams from LNR ACF with some notable results:

1st LNR ACF ‘A’
2nd Bedford Ladies
3rd LNR ACF ‘B’
4th Army Ladies
5th LNR ACF ‘C’

Team selection is now complete and we look forward to the National Championships, which are to be held at the School of Signals Blandford on Saturday 20 June.
