D Company NewsRothwell Cadets "Rattle Their Tins" in DesboroughWe started our poppy collecting on Sunday 30th September on the Grange Estate in Desborough. We decided, that as it was Sunday, we would allow ourselves a lie in and agreed to meet on the estate at 10.30am. After a quick brief we grabbed the boxes and collecting tins and set off in different directions according to our maps. Although the sun was not shining and it was damp underfoot the cadets were not deterred and set off wanting to beat last years collection figures. The people of Desborough were. on the whole, very appreciative of the cadets efforts and were also most generous. We finished the morning with a group photo and we look forward to repeating our efforts in Rothwell soon.
