D Company Cadets represent LNR ACF
in Easter Region First Aid Competition at Chilwell

On Sunday 7th June a small team from D company travelled to Nottingham to compete in the Regional First Aid Competition to represent LNR ACF.
 
The competition consisted of 2 main parts. The first was the individual assessment which tested each single member of the teams in various scenarios including people who had a foreign object lodged in an injured leg and patients with anaphylactic shock.

The second part of the competition was to examine the teamwork under different scenarios. Each team consisted of 3 members with one being appointed a leader and our scenario consisted of multiple casualties. Some were unconscious and others conscious and all had various injuries to deal with. The test was designed to assess the first aider’s knowledge and ability under pressure.

D Company team consisted of LCpl Ford, LCpl Brandon, and LCpl Peers, all of whom will receive their County Colours for representing LNR ACF.

LCpl Ford was also awarded "Best Individual First Aider".
