D Company NewsAidan Howell Memorial Shield PresentationOn Thursday the 24th of November we invited representatives of the Aidan Howell Memorial Fund to present two awards. We decided some time ago that we would use some of the money we had received from the trust to purchase and engrave two shields; one to be presented annually to the Cadet NCO of the year and the other to the Cadet of the year. After coffee, a chat with some of the cadets and our inspection we invited our guests to present tyhe Shileds. There was a real buzz amongst the cadets, as up until this point the the names on the shields had been a closely guarded secret. The recipients of the awards were announced as Cdt Cpl Denis (Best NCO) and Cadet Anderson (best cadet). The evening went very well and we would like to record our thanks once more to the Aidan Howell Memorial fund; we look forward to supporting them again during 2012.
