Cadets Welcome Home 3rd Battalion, The Royal Anglian Regiment

Market Harborough cadets joined with hundreds of spectators on Saturday 8th October to welcome back the TA soldiers from the Third Battalion, The Royal Anglian Regiment after they returned home following a six month tour in the United Nations buffer zone in Nicosia, Cyprus.

The soldiers were invited to take part in homecoming parades in both Market Harborough on the 8th and in Wigston on Sunday 9th. In both cases, it was the first time they had exercised the great honour of the Freedom of the respective Boroughs.

In each town, many hundreds of people lined the roads to cheer and applaud the 100 soldiers and 50 band members of the Regiment on Parade.
