D Company NewsRushden Cadets At Poppy Appeal OpeningOn the 23rd October, cadets from Rushden detachment took part in the annual Parade of Standards to mark the opening of the Poppy Appeal. They event, held at the Historic Rushden Railway Station was1940s themed and the majority of people played their part by dressing in costumes of the era and evoked great interest from the cadets. As well as the Parade, there were steam engines running through the station, Vintage Vehicles on display and the whole ares was transformed to look like wartime Rushden. After the solemnity of the Parade, everyone relaxed and had a great time. SMI D Bristow |
