Corby III - The After Effects of Annual Inspection - one week on

One week on and we are all still buzzing from a really good annual inspection. Operation Smokey takes effect; interplatoon competition and BBQ.

What we failed to mention was there was also a little surprise planned; the formation of a third platoon.

All NCO's do a tour of duty of 12 months at platoon commander or 2IC so this small change round is normal first called up was the NCO's to manage new recruits, then IC and 2IC for Fitzroy, followed by IC and 2IC for Stanley then to gasps of surprise the IC and 2IC for San Carlos.

After a brief history lesson on what San Carlos is cadets were split into the new platoons, some managed to stay in their old platoon, some however had to move. Some cadets relished the challenge of starting a new platoon others were not so please to be moving as all are fiercely loyal to their Platoon, it is their family whilst at cadets. The changes were soon forgotten and new allegiance formed once the competition started.

Operation Smokey was indeed a good name as we were smoked out by the BBQ with burgers and sausages getting cooked.

End of the evening and the scores were

1st Fitzroy
2nd San Carlos
3rd Stanley

So Fitzroy keep up their command of being the best and San Carlos have started to make their mark on Corby III, Stanley need to regroup and start to flourish.
