Gosport Visit - May 2008
May Bank Holiday Weekend and E Company of LNR Army
Cadet Force have
been staying at Browndown in Gosport, home of the "bad
lads" series on television. We were also joined by a small
contingent from C Company.

On Friday we arrived just before midnight so we didn't do much; just had something to eat, got settled into our sleeping accommodation and went to bed. Saturday started with a 7:00 wake up call, breakfast followed by a muster parade, this took us straight into drill practice and PT. |
| Saturday afternoon we went to the royal marine museum followed by ice creams on the beach and in the evening we went to the swimming baths. The pool was amazing especially the "vortex" which was a ring in the pool which had very fast flowing water pushing us round. Most adults ended up getting dunked... pay back time! |  |

Sunday we did the same to start the morning but went to a submarine museum then Fort Nelson, to see a re-enactment of the civil war in America. In the evening we went to the fun fair. |
Monday morning was the same start, but we had to clean the entire barracks for departure and leave in the afternoon. It was an amazing weekend and I had a lot of fun. Hopefully, if there are enough places, I will be able to go next year to experience, again, what a fun packed adventurous weekend I had.
