January was the month for all E Company Detachment Commanders to arrange their own training days.
Melton held its annual competition which can be seen as a separate article.
Corby had a joint training day covering many aspects of all APC levels, however the 1 star expedition is a firm fixture of the January Training. A nice 5 mile hike from Rockingham to the Detachment Centre via a large hill and railway crossing.
PWS utilised the school grounds spending a large period of the day covering camp-craft with basic cadets.
Oakham also had a basic cadre running but also a CRU cadre. We now have another 12 cadets competent in using our radios.
St Georges hosted a 2 star first aid course, resulting in 12 more cadets showing they are proficient at first aid to the required standards, also a BTEC level 2 in public services workshop where all cadets completed book 1 and are now starting book 2 at home
It was a busy weekend for all detachments with almost the whole company taking part.
