There were several senior members of the ATC as well as Lt Colonel Davanna and Major Richard Breeze from our own Headquarters.
73 Army Cadets and 25 Air Cadets, along with their Officers and Adult Instructors were on Parade as Lady Gretton arrived. She was escorted to the main hall by Lt Col Davanna and Colonel Everard and as they arrived the Parade was brough to attention.
Lady Gretton spoke of the importancce of the building and what it means to the Cadet Forces now and for the future and then unveiled a plaque marking the officlal opening before being invited to inspect the cadets on Parade.
After the Parade was dismissed the guests were given a guided tour of the centre where they had the opportunity to speak to the cadets and observe the varied training that was taking place.

The evening was rounded off with an excellent buffet in the upstairs "Social Room" before the guests departed.

I would like to take this opportunity to express my thanks to Captain Tony McLeavy, and WO1 Vine, for all their help and support and all my cadets and Instructors for the amazing effort they put into making the evening so successful.
