E Company NewsRutland Cadets on Parade at OakhamAlmost 50 cadets and their adult instructors from Oakham and St George's detachments in Rutland paraded with Navy Army & Air Force personnel as well as the local CCF cadets and some ex members at the Oakham Remembrance Day Service and Act of Remembrance. The parade left the town centre to the church for the Service, where there was only just enough room for everyone to fit in! After the service we moved to the memorial gardens where wreaths were laid at the cenotaph before the final march past, which was taken by Dr Howard JP, the Lord Lieutenant of Rutland. The Parade Commander told us how proud he felt that so many young people wanted to show their respects for all those who had paid the ultimate price for their Country.
