Whitwick Armed Forces Day

Several cadets from the F Squadron Corps of Drums, along with Capt Ian Flamson, SMI Steve Pearce, SMI Andy Whitby & SSI Amanda Gilbert attended a small gathering at Whitwick to Celebrate the first Armed Forces Day. |

Amongst those present were Major Richard Bream TD DL, Deputy Lord Lieutenant of Leicestershire, members from various local British Legion Branches and members of the public. |

Following the Drumhead Service the band gave a small concert and the audience joined in with most of the songs. The Union Jacks were waved with great enthusiasm when they played Land of Hope and Glory!! |

The wet weather forced us to spend most of the time indoors but the tea and biscuits, served by the Ladies, was still very much appreciated. |
